Established nearly 40 years ago, Reiss is a leading luxury high-street retailer of men’s and women’s fashions. With 70 stores and concessions across eight countries, it had long enjoyed a very prominent profile but its first foray into e-commerce took the brand to an entirely new level, with initial sales at least 300% higher than anticipated.
Objective
Although it was hugely successful on the high street, Reiss had yet to establish its presence online, so when it recently underwent a re-branding of its identity it was the perfect opportunity to launch into the world of e-commerce. The main priorities were to reflect the discerning style of the brand online, capitalise on brand awareness and loyalty, capture valuable marketing data, and create an effective, reliable content management system (CMS) that Reiss could manage itself. As the brand is continually expanding, it was also vital the website was scalable to accommodate future systems and developments.
Solution

Result
The launch and subsequent performance of the Reiss website has been nothing less than outstanding. Launched in summer 2007, the site hit its projected annual sales targets within a mere six weeks – beating the performance of the brand’s most successful high-street store. Engaging imagery, peerless navigation, unique features and sophisticated style in keeping with the brand made it an instant hit with customers. The client, meanwhile, was delighted with the ease of systems’ management, exceptional sales figures, and the efficient and comprehensive service offered by Pod1 from concept to delivery.
