Objective

Jobs.co.uk had a phenomenal database but it had become outdated and ineffective, and in such a highly competitive sector this was a major concern. The company therefore required online re-branding and a new website in order to attract past and future clients. However, as the company was approaching many people it had not been in contact with for years, it needed to deliver an extremely strong, immediate impact in order to generate a positive response

Solution

Pod1 came up with a four-phase email campaign that played on the idea of a 50s’ comic book hero presented in a quirky email comic strip. Stage one of the campaign*, an email teaser, generated an overwhelming response. Two further comic-strip emails** then invited clients to update their details, and for those who failed to respond a fourth courtesy email*** was sent out

Result

The email campaign was an unprecedented success. Not only did it entertain and inspire recipients to respond immediately, it reaffirmed the jobs.co.uk brand in their mind and informed them of the company’s new bigger, better brand and services.
