Client

HG2 was the brainchild of one man who felt there was a gap in the market for innovative, reputable and personal guides to the world’s hippest cities. Four years of research resulted in 17 titles showcasing the most compelling hotels, deliciously chic restaurants and dance-til-dawn nightlife.

Objective

HG2 is a hip, innovative young company that required an online presence that reflected this in order to communicate with clients and evolve. It asked Pod1 to redesign its current site to meet all these requirements, enhance navigation, and provide a hotel booking engine and a content management system that was easy to edit and use.

Solution

Pod1 created a fresh website that was instantly recognisable with the Hedonist’s Guides themselves, and tapped into the brand’s quirky, personalised service philosophy. The maps from the books are now online, and there is an ‘Inspire Me’ section, where you enter your desired city, date and activity (play, sleep, eat, drink, party etc) and an instant list of recommended options appears. There is also a ‘We Love…’ section with tips for hedonistic products and services from luxury humidors to massages services to must-read books, great accessories and new technologies to make life that bit more indulgent. As well as ideas for parties and events to catch across the globe, the website has a hotel search and a members’ area to enhance your online visit, and you can browse, and buy, the guides online.

Result

HG2 is delighted with its newly designed site and all the features it delivers clients. As a consequence, it is recording impressive SEO results.
