Christopher Wharton is a 3rd generation, family-run UK jeweller, who continually present new and exciting collections that never fail to surprise and delight those looking for modern jewellery without a compromise of the traditional standards. Christopher Wharton distributes their products to some 150 stockists from small independents to large world famous stores and chains.
Objective
The Christopher Wharton website was tired, a poor showcase for its exquisite jewellery. A new web design was required for the site to revive the brands overall appearance – a design that would provoke users to request brochures, set appointments or seek out local stockists in their area. The new site also needed to sell Christopher Wharton effectively in the USA, since it was a market the company was planning on entering.
Solution
The Christopher Wharton brand - competing at the high end of the market with companies such as Tiffany, Boodles and others – needed an online showcase website that was as prestigious as their pieces, so that’s what Pod1 provided. Primarily Flash based, but with html options, Pod1 designed and built a catalogue website that perfectly complements Christopher Wharton’s magnificent collection. The design, like the pieces, combines both modern and traditional visual aspects and allows visitors to interact with the brand online through the dynamic selection and presentation of the jewellery.
